KJ Test KUY, V, and JK
Four colors. One language. Learn red first.
Official KJ Test art lines four R6 bodies on a neon floor: KUY purple, KJ red, V green, JK blue. This is not four fighting games. It is one sentence with four highlighters. This page exists so you stop asking “which clone is strongest” and start asking “did I already lab Ravage.” If the answer is no, close this tab and open KJ.
They sit B on character rankings as a pack. A color is not a counterpick.
What the lineup is for
Identity. Clips. “I’m the green one.” In a genre born from stick-figure YouTube, palettes are the product as much as hitboxes. KUY / V / JK let a lobby look like a boy band while still speaking dash and grab. That is good for the emote wheel you filled with group rewards. That is bad if you swap every death because red felt unlucky.
How to treat each color
Play them as KJ with a different silhouette. Universal binds do not change: controls. 1–4 may retune timing. If purple Ravage feels slower, believe your hands, not a TSB wiki. Lab walking confirms from combos on that color for twenty minutes before you declare it “nerfed.”
KUY. Purple, often the “serious” palette. People pick him to look rare. Rarity is not a stat. V. Green, grin on the thumbnail. People pick him to troll. Trolling without dash is just dying in green. JK. Blue, the inverted initials. People pick him because they saw a “JK vs KJ” video from a different game. This is not that game unless the hitboxes say so.
If a variant has a unique fourth slot, it will show on the HUD. We will not invent “JK fireball” from a foreign arena. When a patch actually splits the family, Updates will split this page.
When a variant is the right pick
- You can Ravage on KJ and you are bored of red. Valid.
- You are recording and need contrast. Valid.
- You think JK “counters” KJ. Invalid. Mirror matchup. Read how to beat KJ instead.
- You died once and hovered V. Invalid. That is how you stay B-tier in the only ranking that matters: your kill count. Badge tracker.
Awakening
G still fills from damage. 20 Series tools still eat clumps if the file gave that variant the same spender. How to awaken and awakening rankings apply. If green Dropkick looks different and misses the same, it is still a miss.
Session rules
- KJ until Route A is clean.
- One variant for a full session, not a tour.
- If your win rate tanks, it is you, not the hue. Back to red.
- Do not run admin scripts to force a fifth color. The four on the thumbnail are enough identity for one night.
The Players Hub lists them under the KJ family on purpose. They are cousins. Be a good cousin. Learn the elder’s grab.
Color as a coaching tool
If Ravage timing feels “off,” swap to JK for ten lives and back. A different silhouette makes you watch the animation again instead of mashing on memory. That is the only competitive use of a palette. It is not a hidden buff. Record one round in each color, then pick the replay you can explain. If you cannot explain why green hit and purple missed, you do not have a main — you have a slot machine. Put the machine down and open combos on red until the kick is boring.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers players actually search for in KJ Test.
Are KUY, V, and JK different kits?
They are KJ-family palettes. Learn KJ first. Treat differences as timing, not a new genre.
Who is the best variant?
The one you already labbed. The pack is B. Color is not a tier leap.
Is JK a counter to KJ?
No. It is a mirror with extra branding. See how to beat KJ.
Do variants need codes?
No. Select them. Cosmetics still come from group rewards.
