Getting Started in KJ Test

Your first server, your first Ravage, your first reason to press G.

KJ Test Getting Started

KJ Test throws you into an 11-player Roblox battleground with an admin-shaped kit and no tutorial dummy that talks. This page is that tutorial. By the end of one session you should be able to join the correct place, pick KJ, spend a life on purpose, and know which wiki page to open next. If you wanted codes, they are on the Codes Hub — you will not need them to start fighting.

Join the right experience

Search is a trap. Use the official URL on the Links Hub: KJ Test by KJ’S Grouppp. The live title may read [INVINCIBLE & RED MIST] KJ Test. That is still this game.

Pick a server with room. Full 11s are combo graveyards; empty 2-player servers teach bad habits because nobody third-parties you. Mid-population is the classroom.

Before you queue, join KJ’S Grouppp so the group rewards emotes attach on the first rejoin instead of the third.

What you should see on spawn

R6 avatar. A health bar. A skill bar that, on KJ, looks like the official thumbnail: 1 Ravage, 2 Swift Sweep, 3 Collateral Ruin, 4 Spiraling Storm. G is not a number slot — G is ultimate mode. If your bar is empty, you picked a kit that is still loading or you spawned as a guest character. Open the character dropdown and take KJ. Roster context: Players Hub.

Camera: shift-lock if you are on PC. Battlegrounds without shift-lock is how you dash into the void. Mobile players should enable the lock equivalent in the settings menu before they blame the controls.

Your first three lives (a script)

Life 1 — movement only. Do not press 1–4. Walk, double-tap W to run, Q-dash through a punch, hold F when someone looks at you. Die. That death is tuition. You just learned the server’s ping.

Life 2 — one skill. Only Ravage. Walk in with M1s, dump 1 when they stop respecting you. If it hits, do not chase the kick — reset and find another body. Chasing is how you eat a wall combo. Details later on combos.

Life 3 — meter. Land anything. Watch the awakening bar. Do not press G the instant it fills. Live with a full bar until someone else is already ragdolled, then G. The how to awaken page explains why holding is stronger than flexing.

The clip below is a KJ moveset showcase with subtitles, filmed in a sister test place. Use it to name the animations. Then come back and run the three-life script in this universe.

What “good” looks like after thirty minutes

  • You can dash without throwing yourself off the map.
  • You block at least one M1 string per life.
  • You have opened the emote wheel (B) once on purpose, not in a grab.
  • You know whether you are playing KJ or you accidentally hovered Invincible.
  • You have not installed a script. If that sentence already feels hard, read the Scripts Hub warnings and then close it.

Devices

The game page promises Console, PC, and Mobile. That promise is real and uneven. PC has the cleanest dash angles. Mobile has the same kit with worse Q timing — pick Red Mist if KJ’s grab window feels like a coin flip. Console needs a keyboard for some chat binds; combat itself is on the face buttons. Keep the controls cheatsheet open.

Ping: if every ragdoll lasts a year, change servers. This genre is notorious for it. Your tech is not broken. The job is.

First-hour goals that are not “win the lobby”

  • Unlock Baby Steps (1 kill). Tracker: badge tracker.
  • Die to a wall combo once on purpose so you recognize it. Then open wall combo and copy it.
  • Read the character tier list after you have a main, not as a shopping list.
  • Ignore Ban Hammer. You will not get it. Badges explains why.

Next pages, in order

  1. Controls — every bind, including the ragdoll Q rumor.
  2. Combos — what to press when Ravage actually lands.
  3. How to awaken — G as a finisher.
  4. KJ — the kit bible.
  5. How to beat KJ — when you are tired of being the dummy.

You do not need the rest of the wiki until those five are muscle memory. KJ Test is not a grind simulator. It is a fighting game that happens to run on Roblox. Treat the first hour like a fighting-game bootcamp and the tier list will finally mean something.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers players actually search for in KJ Test.

Is KJ Test free?

Yes. Free-to-play on Roblox. Group join adds emotes; donations add a badge, not the KJ kit.

Which character should I pick first?

KJ. Learn Ravage before you shop Invincible or Red Mist.

Why do I die so fast?

11-player FFA plus people who already know wall combos. Run the three-life script, then combos.

Do I need a script to play?

No. The admin-style kit is the product. See the Scripts Hub only if you insist on reading warnings.
